Drinking my way through Boston (Part 2)

Amy and I are notorious for our drinking ability and I knew my trip would be nothing less then drinkextraordinary (yes, I just made up that word).

As I explored the Boston in the freezing rain I decided the only way I was going to survive drinking my way through it, would also be eating. Luckily for me Boston has some AMAZING food.

When I went to the East, Obama had just told the nation that BinLaden was killed (yes, this is a delayed post) this was one of the funniest bar signs that I saw... and it was good.

Margarita on the rocks, Cinco de Mayo one-of-a-kind drink that I complained about, but let's be honest, who wants to slip on a SUPER sweet marg. I mean normally I say hold the margarita and give me the tequila, but I was trying not to get completely out of my mind. The bartender was witty and tried to give me a hard time, I just tried to take off his clothes, pretty sure that's love <3

When ever my glass was almost empty this fine man made sure I never slurped , pretty sure that's love <3

 This bartender created these drinks:

Amy and I decided to try the martini that was on special, something rhubarb flip. I had no idea that "flip" meant raw egg. As I saw the raw egg go into the shaker I knew that the drink wasn't going to be like anything I had had before.., let me tell you, it was grossssssssssss. I will try EVERYTHING and that I don't really want to try again.

I forgot what this was, but it made me drunk, real fast.

I thought that when my dear friend Matt (to the girls at home New Hampshire) ordered a Manhattan and it came in a martini glass that it would be a fruity "girl" drink. I was wrong, that was stronger then I expected and it was fabulous.

When Amy ditched me for her job enterprise I had to "make it work." So, I went to my trusty companion google and googled the best clam chowder in Boston. I decided to go with the most touristy and one I could find, Union Oyster House.

I sat at the oyster bar and ate fresh oysters, clams, clam chowder and beer for two day. The guys who worked here were so fun and gave me one of everything to try, the "secret" recipe to make my own clam chowder and corn bread, pretty sure that's love <3

*Although it's not pictured I would like to say that my trip with Amy was amazing, we are the perfect team, and not to brag but I'm an awesome wing man.

(P.S. D-money if you ever ready this I left my sweater at your house for a reason, I guess it worked out for the best! A- I would really like that back :)

Eating my way through New York, drinking my way through Boston...

...that was may plan.

In my week off between TV and RRFC, I decided to take an impromptu trip to see my BFF'S Tommy in New York and Amy in Boston.

I've never been to NY and I only had 24 hours so I did what anyone would do, I googled NY in a day. After about 5 minutes of research I decided on the following:

Breakfast:  Ess-a-Bagel
It was amazing, the lox were fresh and bagel was warmly toasted and the perfect combination of tomatoes, cucumber and onions melted in my mouth. This amazing gentleman who was helping me cut my pickles into hearts, I'm pretty sure thats love <3

I walked around Central Park and peopled watched, took in the beautiful flowers and made my way to Katz's Delicatessen.
Hot pastrami on fresh rye with half/half pickles and a black cherry Dr. Browns (SCREAMS my childhood). The guy who make me my sandwich told me I was not a typical Californian. He asked where my blond hair and fake boobs were, i said they were in my room, i would bring them out later, love? <3 Also it screams my favorite movie, When Harry Met Sally and I did sit at their table and all I wanted to do was fake an orgasm- (oh wait I already did that at Thunder Down Under CG holler!)

Then I went to get real NY pizza and google told me the best place was Lombardi's Coal Oven Pizza:

Even though they shut down their ovens in the middle of the day I still decided to wait for this famous pizza. It was delicious. I'm not gonna lie it was the first time I've ever been to a restaurant by myself where I actually said, "table for one." I have to say it was empowering and I felt like a grown up. My waiter was super cool and he ending up giving me a couple free drinks. I'm pretty sure that's love <3

*I have to say next time I go to NY, I think I'm going to take this pizza challenge.

I then headed shopping where I bought a pair of Toms because my feet were killing me in my boots. A TopShop killer side purse and a couple things at Forever 21.

I had to have a mini cupcake as I was cruising the fashion district! There was peanut butter in the middle!!
.

Then came time to FINALLY see Tommy and we went to find dinner...after walking around the city for literally two hours bickering unintentionally making a pit spot in Time Square...
(me)

...we finally settled on this super cute restaurant Penelope it was almost as delicious as the waiter :)

We shared the artichoke appetizer, Tommy had the Lobster roll and I had fish n' chips for dessert we had a magical heath bar, brownie, warm thing that melted a little bit of my heart. We closed down the place and had a really nice time talking with the staff and laughing about life, pretty sure that's love <3

I then headed off to BOSTONNNNNNN.....

Boston in part 2!
